New elements question

Tell me, are those a step forward in the engine? We can already use filter and/or decor layer. The limit of elements is I think 2?? or something. Anyways do you really want elements added every time an update is given? Why can't people code it themselves? There is no excuse for not coding. It takes a few minutes to make a mod. Crowding the engine with elements only one wants isn't going to happen. Developers and Simon determine what makes it into the engine.

    Lockheedmartin:

It takes a few minutes to make a mod.

    After the:
    1) 10 minutes of setting it up (compiler)
    2) 5 minutes of linking
    3) Errors because you did something wrong
    4) Learning C

But a mod is not the original game.
And in a mod are the elements limited too, i think.
Is it really true that there is just free place for 2 additional elements?
    Why?

Okay yeah, but we have a wiki with instructions to make an explosive or other elements.

No, there are 20 more or id cracker's patch made it, then it's a couple hundred. Besides the devs aren't getting paid to sit around a computer and code all day.

    nstructions to make an explosive

I've never seen them in the wiki?

    /me goes to check.

EDIT: Only a HETR element... Which is bloody useless anyway.

But figuring out explosives is easy anyway...

No, I mean you can easily make an explosive with a few tweaks.

Do you think for just adding one element you have to learn C?
    I know a bit about C.
And when I got the principe i can do it.
There are tutorials for this and I have a compiler, too.

Yea, like coding an element that floats on water = 1 value changed from another element

I'm quite good at picking things up and teaching myself how to do things... :)

Is there the ability that the number of elements is extended in a few months?
And is TPT team going to make then new elements?
Locked by Catelite: No more griping about not getting more elements or whatever.
