    Didn't say that I went to the tattoo... but now you mention it I've been to see it every year for the past 12 years :P

    Watching it on TV is nothing like actually being there, you've got to be there to truly know how amazing it really is. This year wasn't anywhere near as good as previous years, there was only half the usual cast count and they seemed to rush through it... Still amazing though ^^

    I knew the tattoo was on this year. And I've marched IN a massed band. I know how good it feels. Bet it was still good though.

    Being in, and watching would be two different feelings I would imagine. I still say you should go and see it at least once from the spectator side of things.


    get at least the £35 tickets, any less and you won't see much...

    Travel is the biggest problem. A 15 year old on the train to Edinburough (again, I went to Inverness for a Pipes and Drums Camp and Edinburough was one of the stations).
