    We were talking about Steam a while ago (The VALVe Content Delivery System) and Mortvert proclaimed that he was a Steam Train. Simon found it amusing and made him into an element :P

    I thought it was MORT(ar) as in mortar the stuff they fire out of mortar guns.

    you can also create mort by going to prop click on a random solid material type type in there in the box below type 333

    It was in cracker64's mod, which was merged into the official around v44-v46. When it was first added, it and several other elements such a LOVE and RIME could be accessed by pressing CTRL-R + ALT-R at the same time, though this feature has since then been removed.

    I had always just assumed that it stood for mortar, which is a similar weapon, but thee are some differences that may make this incorrect.
