    There really isn't a point in double posting because you can edit your original post and add whatever you want to say...

    Exactly, that just strengthens the reason why a mod might want to block double posts.

    Double posting will never be added. The double post block goes away after 24 hours though, at that point it's been long enough and you can post again.
