When you first create a thread, simply using line breaks won't create actual line breaks inside the posts. It's a weird glitch Simon really doesn't care about so it doesn't seem like he'll change it anytime soon.
On posting replies or even editing threads and posts, however, simply pressing Enter will however create a line break. It's done by silently changing every enter-key-press into a<br>
HTML tag. You can do the same manually when creating a thread first! -
Isn't BMRT Iron Oxide (rust)?
it forms when Iron is exposed to water/salt/oxygen...

You mean BRMT. Since there is no FeO (rust) BRMT is there as a substitute. BRMT works this way for many elements.
