why dont we make it so that tpt shows temps in fairenheit and centigrade (Celcius) for all us americans.
Well, the sciences will have that as Centigrade/Celsius (metric) are the SI units, which are the standard of measurement for science subjects.
While I wouldn't mind an extreme temperature that would cause anything, including DMND to explode, that'd be going much too far, and would have heated my laptop to water-boiling temperatures. :P
In any case, perhaps if you can provide uses for such extreme temperatures...
Personally, I'm curious as to why the maximum temperature is 9725.78 (or similar) exactly, and not a round number.
Not all users are Americans, for example @Simon he's English. 1byte won't hurt or, will it?
Because it's defined in Kelvin. 9725.85 C + 273.15 = 9999 K, which is a round(ish) number
