I just wanted to say goodbye.
It was a privilege and a pleasure knowing Merbo.
Never did he seem sick or schizophrenic the times we played TF2 or Mercraft together. It takes a lot out of someone to hide being terminal this well, to not fall into a deep depression, to stay happy and energetic in the face of uncertainty as well as the fatalistic knowledge that the end is coming and fast.
This very forum post is an example that shows how much of an effect internet friendships can have on people.
Rest in peace, Ethan.

I spent a whole summer playing Mercraft with him, boxmein, BudCharles and occasionally FF50 and wolfmitchell. Best summer ever. I didn't even get to say goodbye since I thought he still had a few months left. The only memory of his voice was when I was playing TF2 with him and he kept saying "memes". I miss him. I've missed him for 3 months up until now too. Bye Merbo.
