In "fancy" graphics, the glow would be around some particles...

maybe have a vis. mode that bevels it or something?

    EDIT:

    Blob Mode.

know it will be a straight line...  "It will always be as a straight line, "

Well, that STKM thing sounds nice! But... they can die. And be pushed away.

    Let me make an image.

EDIT: Nope, never mind, it turned out terrible. Twice.

It would be a strait line at first, but as particles get closer, it would take up more and more of the screen untill you saw just one pixel that is directly opposite your viewing point.

Yes. Well, it would take up more and more of the line.

I have absolutely no idea what you mean anyway.

The first time I saw the title, I imagined a zoom window that followed a specific particle though.

So, imagine someone throws a ball at you. From your perspective, you see it getting bigger as it approaches you. The person who threw the ball sees it shrinking as it moves away. If it were a lightbulb being thrown, it would get brighter as it approached you, and dimmer for the other person.

Now, imagine you are a pixel on the screen of the TPT window. A lava particle moving towards you would get bigger and brighter as it moves, like the lightbulb, but this time, only in 2-dimensional space.

In 3-d space, which we live in, we see in 2 dimensions- like pictures, which have the ability to capture events happening in 3-d space. Likewise, taking it a dimension down, 2-d space, in which the pixel you are viewing from exists, would see in one dimension, a straight line.

    You get it?

    I can't code in C++.

    Okay, here's a half-decent picture I just made.

    Here you go!

    This ignores brightness.

ooh, cool! now i get it! perhaps another window could open alongside tpt when you acess this? and would this cause a significant drop in framerate?

I have no idea. I don't know how TPT works in the code.

Maybe it could just extend the window to fit in a little box thing, like the one on the left of the picture?

Or just show on the top, next to the HUD, or to the right, next to the elements bar.
