@ZebraGoBoom(View Post) as far as I know, one particle in game is exactly one pixel on the screen (although I may be wrong since everything else on my computer doesn't look pixely). That's why it wouldn't work too well. Double size mode works because it can be a 2x2 square, but anything else would look odd. If we had more for the menu / other buttons outside of the simulation area though, that could be resized to do things, but we can't really change the simulation size.
