What do each of the colours count?
I have like no front-paged saves, though a single one made third page on all-time best (LCRY tree). I don't care much about it. Does that make me a newbie member? -

Well then. What use do badges have? I wouldn't earn them through frontpages, so I lack them. Seeing someone who caters to the masses in-game with a gold badge running around the forum crap-posting won't make him more reliable than someone who hasn't got a single frontpage because his saves are demos of complex things or need to be understood in a certain context. -
Badges are a bit useless. They serve only to be used as a trophy, and having the staff or an automated system award such awards can be really difficult to track or manage. Also to mention the fact someone will eventually complain about how so and so doesn't deserve a badge.
If you want a badge system, use my API to make it offsite.

I do believe that I'm sufficiently lazy to not make huge saves filled with borderline art to get a front-paged save. Also having fp-locked groups seems unreasonable, making the front page even more a sort of "achievement" or status sign. I play TPT to have fun, not to figure out ways to hit front page and make votes. -
Or you can just give badges out only to people that have made front page. just a suggestion.
