    It WILL burn at high temperatures. No doubt about that. He wants something that won't melt METL or other things when burned.

    Ok, well I'm not fully informed about what their plans are. I think a better way of attacking the problem, would be to suggest that the current fuse be slightly altered, instead of an entirely new element created.

    Still... I see uses for both types of fuse. The high temp to melt METL to allow another element to pass and the low temp to go past something without melting and blow something up, Triggering a reaction.

    I see your point, I guess my opinion would be, alter the current one to be low temp, and make the fuse powder burn hot. That way, you could have the solid fuse go past something, and have the powder to start the reaction, whatever it might be.
