wha.. what the hell, this thread has NOTHING to do with how to make a deuterium bomb. i dont give a f**k about HOW to do it, it was just an example of the uses of this new tool idea. (THIS IS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT!, just STOP correcting people on something that is totaly unrelated to the actuall issue at hand...)  the issue at hand is the uses of this new idea and what purpose it would serve to the actual game... not HOW to make a f****ing deuterium bomb...

But we do not understand the actual issue. It just sounds like another way to do something we already can do.

the current tool we have to move items and material is not that efficient, and it disrupts velocity throughout the simulator (i have already explained this...). this can disrupt the placement of materials and ruin, well, minutes and maybe hours of work.

read over the idea again, and try to imagine how relieving and revolutionizing this tool will be for some situations. i dont want to literally explain every f***ing purpose this has... cus there are quite a few.

I have read the original post but I thought that I misread it. You cannot just make particles move by themselves, you have to use either velocity or vx-vy. Either way gravity still affects the particles!

Anyway, suggestion guidelines recommend that you either produce three uses that cannot be simulated easily or providde a code for it.

Personal insults towards other users will not increase the chance of your idea being accepted.

For the record, please, try not to speak like youre a moderator.. i absolutely HATE people speaking and correcting others like theyre superior to them... youre a member, just like me.

i didnt mean for you to take this as an insult, im sorry. i just get confused that when ive thorougly explained how to use this and what to use this for, people are still confused.

Heres my last example off the top of my head atm:

if youve played OE-Cake, and used the right-click on an object / substance to make it move around as you pleased, thats sort of what im aiming this idea at. (im not asking for physics in the simulator, im just asking for a tool, which can place a sort of tag, or mark on an element/particle(s), and make you able to move it. i know there already are move tools, but these disrupt the balance of velocity and can ruin someones building or whatever.)

now ofc, if the tag is placed on a solid substance, f.ex METL or WOOD, then the shape of the tag on that object, and the object itself will stay the same, or deform, doesnt matter (staying the same shape would be better though, but i know scripting and its not the easiest thing in the world, by far.)

now, about your statement on the gravity affecting this. yeah, it will affect the particles, when the mousebutton is released.

(ON ANOTHER NOTE: you should be able to deselect the tool by rightclicking, hopefully ^^)

now again, im sorry you were offended, i didnt mean it. me being human im bound to be irritated once in a while ^-^

hopefully this has cleared up any doubts or questions you have towards the idea (might end up addin this to the post, idk :P)

I am sorry if my tone is misinterpreted, english is my second language. A problem with the concept is that TPT is coded differently to OE-Cake, the devs are working on TPT++ which may or may not support similar physics. TPT gravity manipulation is kinda screwed up now due to slow gravity gravity calculations, it may work when the devs find how to stop fast-Fourier transforms from crashing older computers.

its fine ^-^ english aint my first language either :P. i dont wanna be on the wrong with anyone on this forum, so hopefully there are no hard feelings :P

hopefully this will be added even though ^-^ its very handy if you think about the things you can do with it :P
