I have to say, I agree with your suggestion.

I need something small to add to my nuclear reactors or other power producers to store power and still be destroyable.

I whipped up an interesting little battery after reading this. Hope you enjoy! Sorry, it was sort of hasty.

The idea was rejected before, as it can already be done.
Even if it does take up more space.
Just like why powered portals were rejected - you can use wall and portal to do the same thing.

Also, people have managed power plant energy storers before. It is a simple concept.

Sorry for the late reply, but no, no one can. You show me one where the tmp decides the max charge. Also show me one where life shows how many sparks it has. Yes, people have made rechargeable batteries; none of them fit this elements description though.

(do not take this as me supporting the idea; take this as me supporting the fact that it can't be recreated with existing elements.)

Better battery would be one that sensed how many sparks it had released into any metal attached to any surface of the battery. Total sparks allowed would be its life. And when used up the sparks would stop coming. Also the current would lower as it got drained. At first it would run like normal BTRY, but later would slow to maybe one SPRK per second before finally dying.

Recharge would mean using console or property tool to set life to the desired level.
