Well, for those of you who didn't pay attention in Earth Science class, there is a scale the measures volcanoes. It is based on the amount of ejecta(ash, dust, etc) in cubic kilometers. The scale, like the Richter Scale for earthquakes, increses tenfold(V.E.I. 5 is 1 cubic kilometer, V.E.I. 6 is 10). Here are some examples:
Mt. St. Helens (V.E.I. 5, most well-known volcanic eruption)
Krakatoa, 1883 (V.E.I. 6, loudest sound ever recorded, heard 3000 miles away)
Tambora, 1815 (V.E.I. 7, look up The Year Without A Summer, this thing caused it!)
Lake Toba, Approx. 70,000 years ago(V.E.I. 8, deadliest volcano in history, look up Toba Catastrophe Theory)
Now that you have an idea of the size of these things, let's look at my save!
Here's how you use it: SPRK the eruption button, that's it!
Eruption Phase 1: The volcano explodes, this looks AMAZING in Persistant Display.
Eruption Phase 2: A lul in activity as the pressure in the conduit is greater than the magma chamber.
Eruption Phase 3: Ash(CO2), gases(NBLE and CAUS), and blocks(CNCT) shoot out of the vent when the conduit's pressure lowers enough. Fire Display for best effect.
Eruption Phase 4: An awesome ash cloud forms, pyroclastic flows form where this touches the ground.
Eruption Phase 5: The fine dust and gases from the volcano shot into the stratosphere circle the earth, blocking out the sun and lowering global temperatures by as much as 15 degrees Celcius.
Enjoy!
Final note:
I am shocked by the complete lack of volcanoes on here that have NO REALISM. This one's first version, my Nuke Powered Volcano, and after that, my Semi-Realistic Volcano, have been made in an attempt to make up for all the "OMFG FIREWORKS N THERMITE N 70 DEGREE SLOPES IZ A VOLCANO LOLLLLLL" saves. My sole purpose on this game is to teach those people volcanology.
Nice volcano.
This is really cool :3
This is definitely the most realistic volcano I've seen on TPT. Most of the other ones are just packed with THRM and melt all over. That's not a pyroclastic flow. Yours is the only one I've seen that exudes gases like that. Good job!
