    my point was it doesn't matter if you use binary or decimal because it's just a number to a letter/symbol. The computer has to use binary for it but you don't

    American standard code...it's a system of converting language to digital binary...it can also be interperated as numbers if you read it like bytes.

    ermmm ascii is a number representation of letters which can be shown in binary or decimal that computers use for storing letters/strings in number form ie: 119 111 111 116 (woot)

    DUDE....ASCII IS COMPUTER LANGUAGE...COMPUTERS ARE DIGITAL...DIGITAL IS BINARY. DUH!!! I used an online text to ASCII translator...and I'm in level 2 of computer networking.
