He also points out that the radiation channels from the secondary in such a configuartion would raise some difficult design problems, however. But nothing that appeared definitely unworkable. Of course, it's only a sketch of a sketch of a proof of design concept. Only A. Sakharov knows for sure how they did it! (Well, maybe one or two others.) Again, just a great job - a model worthy of the actual device.
