the point of the test isn't just the amout of pressure its also the changes in it. the reason for this is to do with the motion of some liquids when there is a large primary source of pressure it causes liquids to press against solids some times causing warp to struggle when gbmb isn't able to reach. having changes in pressure causes movment in the defence. hope this cleared any confusion.
