    I have made the main river originate from the mountains along with a few smaller rivers and an oxbow lake

    rivers dont separate continents often, they usually TRANSPORT salt to oceans, they birth from mountain glaciers, so fix that up if you can, rivers usually just end in jntm the ocean, spilt up, or just flood a lake
