some sorta rocket to put a small payload into orbit. NOT very realistic NOT functional. if u dislike this for any reason pls comment why, i like constructive feedback

    i mean that stuff would go on the actual payload but the thing here i put is just a dummy block, it wouldnt go on the orbiter anyway

    you could sacrifice some fuel capacity to give it a gyroscope (you dont have to make it functional) because having solar panels on the service module for the gyroscope is better long term than burning tons of fuel annually just to keep a needed alignment, for example towards earth or the prograde

    my thought process with this was that the core stage gets it most of the way to orbit and the orbiter stage just does the fine adjustments once it's up, that's why when you see it detached it's only expended some of its fuel. it's not for proper maneuvers just adjustments mostly

    only hydrazine on its own is bad for service module engines. it needs liquid oxygen in there aswell to simulate dinitrogen dioxide
