    klao003: I'm aware of merc's function and was reffering to long term memory in the form of bits, you are correct that merc's expansive qualitys function as a form of memory but that was not what I was reffering to.

    brain not got environmental stimuli, what is it even remembering to begin with? if it was this easy to make a simple brain i'm sure we'd have terminator 30 years ago already

    DRZOIDBERG: memory is not only a thing it remembers for long, there is operational memory in the mercury defined by how much its expanded, karakanlud's expands because noble helps make heat and its easier for it to learn, but it also forgets fast because of ln2 cooling

    DRZOIDBERG: you dont need scale to learn... Hebbian Learning is when a cell fires so much it's now easier for it to fire. Mercury can do this, it heats from spark and expands, making it take up more space in the chamber, therefore giving it less wrong positions.
