    I (aeiouman's brother) know light has energy, but it mostly comes out as heat/radiation from what I know. Light, radiation, and heat are all the exact same thing, tiny particles with some energy going at some frequency.

    Builderbob: The closest thing I can think of to "using the whole atom for energy" is combining it with antimatter. However, getting antimatter is very difficult, and still involves a large amount of heat/explosions.

    Seriously, how are you harvesting light? Photons aren't atoms and they are too small to use for any meaningful energy other than heat. (lasers, solar panels, radiation, etc.)

    I (aeiouman's brother) think light's speed comes from the fact it doesnt really have much mass. And anyways, I don't really think you can harvest its momentum. Taking energy from the bond of an atom is literally just fission,(breaking it) while modern ways to harvest light uses temperature I think.
