dirtguy11211 4th Nov 2025linzifan418: I didn't say anything about saves being "low effort" in this save, did I? I said that the saves that go on FP should be high quality. Low effort doesn't really have anything to do with it, right? and for the record, this was NOT by any means "low effort." I made this save to be helpful. And for that, I gave it my full effort, even If I made mistakes(witch I have corrected).

dirtguy11211: text only saves are probably low effort, even if they look neat. add some art or physical explanations in for a "explanation" save. -

If you're in for the deep tech analysis, you'll enjoy both equally. If you don't really care about the peciluarities of subframing a piston mover, or it goes over your head and you haven't gotten around to figure it out, but!, you like seeing things move in a fun way, you're gonna enjoy seeing the bouncing ball thing more. It's that simple, fun things get more traction in general. Not a very hard rule, but it's true for my stuff. -
OrthogonalCaster 4th Nov 2025I don't consider "FP worthiness" a real and specific thing, people just upvote whatever they like. However, to like something they gotta understand it first, at least at a base level. Here's an example: why haven't my subframe drone save 3295335 gotten as much traction as the bouncing ball save 3295983, even if the tech is 99% the same? Because the first is a "look at the tech I did" save, and the second "look at the fun thing I did with the tech".
