    and links them in a chain which is guided into a shape by covalent and hydrogen bonds

    becuse the ribosome does not make the amino acids, it takes them out of the surroundings

    you could try make it take a supply of blocks that act as amino acids and are able to stack next to eachother in different ways to fold into a shape with an active site, however i feel it is a stretch
