jm211, this is higly exaderated, still correct instructions to slightly purify uranium to a point of criticality
Hi. Not a Nuclear Engineering Grad Student here. Uraniyummyyyyyyy!
But yea. Its not *hard* to mine, convert, and enrich uranium from ore to weaponsgrade. It is very expensive, consumes lots of time and energy, and is very very visible to a wide number of national and international agencies. IE, they know when someone is doing such a thing. They know where. And they know exactly who to tell.
Don't worry about the FBI, this is all public information (even wikipedia has a page on nuclear bomb design). The parts I cant tell you are the formulas or specifics, even if you can dig most of them up online, because I am already on enough lists.
Hi. Nuclear Engineering Grad Student here. The "Pure uranium" is not very useful, as it is just 0.711% U235. (unless you got it from a specific part of Africa). Instead, maybe try using UF6 (Only 1 isotope of Fluoride so a difference in the weight of a molecule of UF6 is due to a different uranium mass). UF6 also can be a solid, liquid or gas NEAR normal conditions (ie, only need to change pressure and temperature a bit to change the state). Then spin it. A lot.
btw, the video was an april fools joke. But the spheres really contain uranium
GumRat: couldnt you just do that a bunch of times on a bunch of different accounts
I once saw a video on how to make a nuclear reactor at home. The fuel were small spheres with a little bit of natural uranium in the center. He said "do not use blue tape, otherwise the reactor will explode". He just told how to make a nuclear bomb :skull:.
