The mysterious fps boost can't be explained, but anyway the only real changes in this version are: Update check disabled. Install prompt disabled (ctrl+I shortcut remains). Shared data directory disabled, and "Migrate to shared data directory" option removed. Mod ID set to 15. Nothing else, and none of those affect fps. The only other difference is that the original 98.2 was compiled 2 months ago, but the Steam version was compiled last week.

I just did a test on Windows and it does seem slightly faster. Why though? It's literally the same version, compiled in the same place. Computers mystify me sometimes.

Can confirm it runs slightly smoother than the og version (seperate download) not a ton but its noticeable for my semi potato laptop. +1 to powder toy in general

@MeltedLawnFlamingo we package the fully compiled application into Steam. There's no shaders or other modification internally done to the code beyond our own special conditions (removing installation and disabling updates).

Find the Stamps folder(s), copy and paste the contents to new location (or email to yourself, if it's on a different machine)
