actually, you DO see stars in space, however, the pictures are designed to focus on objects, so the stars were too dim for the camera to see them, on some settings it would be visible, but yeah, TLDR: there is stars in space, but the camera's we have do not see them -

Hey man, this is good, but I want you to know in real life there wouldn't be any stars. If you knew that but drew them anyways, that's alright lol.
