I use the source of the river on x455 y159 and expand on x413 y232. I will build a mine on x419 y233 and build farms and cities near that river. I will equip my ships with weapons against pirates and will spread information to the media that our ships are incredibly cruel to pirates. Im also expanding on x429 y156 and on the shore of that lake.

Ok Im awake now so I updated the map. Iron mine in New Maya has found moderate amounts of iron, and the mine in New Daxoria has found moderate amounts of gold, moderate amounts of iron, and low amount of copper. Both have profited enough to stay open.
