    galaxies are way farther than betelgeuse

    -EVA01-: id assume in a similar fashion to the way we look at galaxies that are so far away that we're viewing them as they were near the beginning of the universe

    how can you know it was caused from CME if youre not super close to betelgeuse to tell it was from that?

    Didn't researchers recently say the dimming was caused by a CME 400x larger those that our sun makes that blocked visibility of Betelgeuse? So the only reason it looked like it was dimming was because there was space dust in the way. As of 2020 it stopped dimming, and is now at it's original level of brightness.
