In short FILT has 30 bits which define its color. These bits, which as a decimal number represent the FILT's ctype, can have logic performed on them by the "FILT modes". These are activated by the "tmp" property that a particle has. You can find the designated numbers and their "FILT modes" on the tpt wiki for Element: FILT. The logic is done by taking the ctype of an incoming BRAY and then performing the operation on it with the ctype of the FILT particle. You can set the properties using PROP.

FILT is very compact and can be programmed/utilized very effectively, which makes it the perfect thing for computing. I still prefer normal electronics though.

i've seen computers using filt but never really knew why? and i've did a bit of research and some of the websites that i visit didn't help and pretty much some were hard to understand what it mean't by...

It's actually a pretty good way to start! Keep doing what you're doing. Learn FILT logic as soon as possible as it's the most efficient way to make computers on here at the moment. You can try to reverse engineer some of my stuff as well if you want.
