    @r33sesk1ing That is why this fascinates me so much. I didn't think there was a GOL rule that could emulate a 1d cellular automata. Maybe there is isn't and this is a result of TPT's special stay rule. (the 17 part) There very well could be another rule that could count, or even be a turing machine with the right initial conditions.
