    so i think downvoting low quality stuff IS ok because the vote count is the indicator that shows how good the save is

    personally when i first joined tpt my first saves were downvoted, but i didnt get angry or sad, i knew i was a newbie so i tried to understand why some of my saves were downvoted and others were upvoted. i saw a pattern. since that point i started to look on tpt wiki to know more about some elements and slowly i became a normal user. downvoting didnt discourage me, it made me try even harder.

    Well, TPT isn't dying but it isn't exactly the most popular game, so perhaps we as a community should stop discouraging kids and newbies and start helping them instead. So: 1) If there is anything good in a save +1 it even if you could do much better, 2) save your -1 for offensive and hateful stuff, don't -1 the newbies just because their saves look bad because it demotivates them and makes them angry or makes them quit, and 3) help people who make obvious mistakes or omissions in their saves.
