    We were CLOSE to having designs that could adapt to external data (ie, input from various sensors). Interest kind of faded when we couldn't find much USE for them though, that couldn't be done better by conventional circuits

    There was a phase a few years ago where a lot of the (then) top high-tech creators in TPT got a bit obsessed with neural nets
