    @pinecone you have waterproofed your boats and expanded further towards the highlands. I don't completely understand your question, but if you mean whre ores are located, ores are located in spots where they might be in real life, there is no certain terrain that really has more ores, however you can figure out where ores are depending on terrain. (As an example, oil might be located near lowlands, gold and copper may be located near areas with volcanic activity.)
