@David-P if you want to make computers and hardware design you should look into FPGAs. With those you can make your own custom chips and almost any hardware you can think of, though they are preety complex

To a postman, his boss gave the order to go to house 6 to deliver letters. (Writing) And then his boss gave him the order to receive packages from house 8. (Read) Apartments = memory cells, postman = pointer, boss = computer.
