@Emperor_Of_Catkind I think if you publish something and it gets three votes, it appears on fp once fp has updated, and it updates every few minutes or so.

@Mrprocom What is the score enough to get on FP, and what is the measurement of time (seconds/minutes/hours)? If it's not a secret, of course.

Zara_chaotica: If you are asking why private messages don't update in real-time and require you to refresh to check for new messages, then it's because private messages were never meant to be instant messengers. That's just how they were built for TPT. It's not really a bad thing; private messages are sufficient as they are, and people who use it are usually from different time zones, so they don't expect instant replies.

dashdev, Emperor_of_Catkind: The exact formula according to jacob1 is log(upvotes) / log(time - 3). This calculates the score for each save that would determine whether it gets on the front page.

dashdev: For a save to be promoted on the front page, it has to receive a sufficient amount of votes in a short period of time after publication. This is why you see saves with little upvotes on the front page; those made it there because they received those little upvotes right after publication (when you see saves with little upvotes on the front page, check the upload time). Of course, for a save to remain on the front page, it has to keep getting more upvotes or else it will get demoted.

@dashdev I can surely say that if your new save got 3 upvotes while being on the newest page, then it goes on FP. Maybe that's how.
