Plasma can still get to it, also it has a problem. When the water boils, it creates pressure, and so if you make it past the CRMC behind it, the sheild might break revealing the ttan to the bomb, and once it gets to the last crmc and insl layers, its easy to destroy. For its size, it's not too impressive but it can at least survive a large amount of plasma.
