You said this: "The convention is that my Stellaris ships are proposed to fight each other, with ships of the roughly same weapon/protection standards, of the same "weight category", much like in the boxing sport."
Okay, I did. It says I have to remove all other ships before tetsing one ship. And are you kidding me? The ships will not work at the same time in the same save? Why would they need to be alone? You kept saying that you want your ships to be able to fight each other. How can you do that when they can't be in the same save together?
You're confused. I tell you to fix your buttons, but instead of using the "intelligent building" you brag about to fix your broken save, you tell me to "read the instructions."
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Still no Colossus. A bit sad.
But here are some reference saves on how DMND was used with intention and care: ID:2061486, ID:2148054, ID:2537709, ID:2190134, ID:2334620, ID:2480028, ID:2072416, ID:2200079, ID:2162864, ID:2161338, ID:2161636, ID:1961418 -- to name a few. A few of them may seem to use it sparingly, on the trim of some objects, or with thin and precise detailing, but they generally use it with purpose. The way each save uses DMND gives it purpose, and adds to the save(s) rather than taking away.
And, like Vampireax pointed out, there is not necessarily an easy way to define "destructible", since -- even though it is not "conventionally" destructible -- DMND there are still ways you can destroy it, or work around some of the awkwardness that might come with having to work with this material.
You also asked about how to use DMND in certain builds 'intelligently'. I was simply saying that if you know what you're doing, you could use DMND in some pretty interesting ways to make your save(s) look nice and/or interesting, as well. The way you use each material (like ones such as DMND) depends on the context, and what you're trying to accomplish when making the save.
@Emperor_of_Catkind, It's perfectly fine to want to use materials other than DMND if you just want your ships to appear more destructable by "conventional" means. Choosing between DMND and something like BRCK is pretty much subjective, in that case.
The general wiring of the build is pretty alright. I'd say it's functional and looks average, so I hope you keep improving, bro. But electronics in saves like this can be used to ad an extra level of detail to make your save look nicer/more complete. So I suggest looking at a bunch of other saves with electronics in them, like gun saves from ThePiksu or Coffee, so you can see how detailed things can get, and to get a general idea of what I'm talking about.
