And so, when it comes to a question of skill, this save fails in that department as well. So why did you like the save? Obviously because you liked it. There isn't a problem with that in most instances; do it all you want for all I care. But the problem all of this could (and has) develope(d) into is that when you look onto front page and see what types of save are promoted and how hard you ACTUALLY have to work to achieve attention and points, you realize that there isn't much to aspire to.

Skill is very important: like, a teenager who just got their drivers' license isn't as likely to win a race as a trained professional, you know, a nasscar driver. The teenager with no experience isn't very likely to win the race. He could still win the race against the professional, but it's just so insurmountably hard because he has no developed (assuming he also has no natural skills, as well) skills with driving a nasscar, let alone his own.

Now the subjectivists among you could argue "Well, some artists --" despite failing to name any "some artists can make good art that didn't take any effort for them to make, but it still looks amazing." But what is it about THIS that is artistic? The thing with the subjectivist argument is that even though there wasn't much effort applied, there is still a matter of skill.

Qwerytino understands the principle of "low effort deserves low votes." And this principle isn't arbitrary: it's a matter of being able to balance guidelines in life to make logical and rational decisions throughout. And logically, there wasn't really anything much to the save -- he didn't have to work to achieve anything.

The problem is that there is no recognition for the logical basis for which to raise the standards of those who review content in this game. So instead of "oH My gOD tHiS iS GrEAT XdxdxdxDX XDDXD hAHAhHA h LOLl oL +1 have my child" we c o u l d get "doesn't seem to be much thought put into this... interesting though +0"

@NoVIcE, Well, it's certainly not like these mindsets aren't observable in people outside of this community of people. But that doesn't mean that's how all people are. The problem is unique specifically to people who WOULD see this is worthy of upvotes. The fact that there are so many upvotes obviously reflects the fact that a bunch of people liked it, but it is most importantly indicative of a problem.

It's not an optical illusion, you see what there actually is, on a screen.
