  Looks like it needs to be cleaned if it's going to be tig welded. Get me an angle grinder! Seriously, though, it looks pretty good, but not amazing. When I can see steel with no coating or mill scale, it usually has some sort of tooling marks, so this, lacking the tooling marks, looks kinda strange.
