Because you have layered it excessively. If there are ever more than 5 non-energy particles in a single square, they have a chance to form BHOL each turn (representing the matter collapsing into a singularity because it is too dense). It isn't specific to DMND, I think it happens with everything other than energy particles (PLSM might also be exempt, I can't remember)
