This world is built with the ore pulled from hard rock mines. Be grateful for the metals, the powders, and everyday materials we often take for granted. Before the huge pit mines, shafts and tunnels ruled all.

I registered in 2013. I was on before I registered, for maybe a few months. You're an old-timer! Most of the big names have disappeared. I still check back now and again to see if they update any comments, but never any dice. Where do you even see the user ID number?

Hey, your user ID has 5 digits instead of 6. I thought I was the only one left. When did you start playing TPT? I started in 2009.

To match colors exactly you can pick a color in your photo software (like GIMP), then set the RGB values directly into the deco editor. It takes some time, but the more you practice it the easier it becomes. It also helps to have less colors, so most of my saves have a limited color range.

For small things (like the logo) you can shrink an image externally in GIMP or something, then zoom in to the pixel level to copy things over. Often it doesn't look right or things aren't well defined, so I touch up manually. That method was recommended by a mod for making pixel art.

I almost always use a pen size of 1 pixel for highlights and darks, and will add bright or dark color directly, then blur it (like the floor in this save). It's a lot of iteration. I never just draw a pixel and that's the final thing.

Best way to use deco (for quasi-realistic looks) is to have a few reference images or objects to look at. Sketch out contours until the proportions are correct, then start filling in. I usually start with 2 colors, a light and a dark. Then you can fill in and use the blur tool to get a gradient. Then use the + and - tools to add highlights and dark spots.

TheEditor4: Very likely not, if the person is a good artist they can make images that seem extremely close to CGI, but aren't.

rcaproduction is your logo made by hand or is it cgi? it looks realistic enough to be cgi.
