yeah, deuterium has a proton and a neutron and is an isotope of hydrogen. it is impossible for oxygen to bond with 3 atoms because it only has 2 open valence electron slots because oxygen has 8 electrons two of which are in the first electron shell and the other 6 are in the second electron shell which can hold 8. The reason why flourine and lithium are so reactive is because they want to gain an electron and loose an electron respectively and will do anything they can to remove them.

if oxygen was in the fourth or fifth row of the periotic table (which would dramatically change it's properties and force it to need 38 electrons in the fourth/fifth electron shell) or change the number of electrons is in its second electron shell (which you could do by ionizing it or changing the number of protons in its nucleus but that would also change its properties in such a way it wouldn't be an oxygen atom anymore.)

its not too dangerous its in bottled water and its 3 hydrogen atoms instead of 2

Heavy water can kill if you will not get it out of your body by just drinking normal water. It will replace it's more toxic version in your body.

sunny1saturday: Deut is just a liquid hydrogen izotope. It is almost not toxic (only in big quantities it can cause damage). "Heavy Water" is an H2O but instead of normal Hydrogen it contains 2 Deuterium atoms. Heavy water is toxic in big quantities because it does not completely act as normal water.
