Not sure why this happens. Probably something to do with how PT loads frames.

because there's always a tiny fluctuation after the initial well, but it's not noticeable, but there, it plays a role in a gate.

there's also a one-way key where, if a gravity well is applied, it will always allow phot through.

The speed of the photon has an effect aswell. TPT simulates the particles in a sort of raster process. (particle interactions are caclulated left to right top to bottom) This results in alot of weird things like a slight bias in randomizers that use liquids, and heat flowing fast to the right.
