but the people who die are absalutely microscopic so it dosent really matter
That's kinda depressing to think about.
Mankind has the potential, its all about who is strong enough to seize the opportunity of ascension.
We are meaningful, however small we are. Because once mankind reaches the frontier of space we will be legendary. Our empire will encompass the entire galaxy, perhaps even several galaxies if our leaders are ambitious enough.
