Hello all, this is my first URAN reactor. 95% destructible and fully manual control rods. Optimal temp ~400 degrees. Please comment advice. Edit: Thanks for front page!

make the buttons bigger and speed up the up rod movement. also add a UPS system that charges as the reactor outputs and drains if a power fluctuation is present.

@NACEOD you just gotta keep the rod full, so that the plutonium will pull the end of the rod along with it. I've had the same problem, but when I used POLO, the problem stopped, since It doesn't disappear. I think it might only work with PLUT if the PSTN goes all the way inside the rod and pulls the frame from the bottom, having two sets of frame, at the bottom and top of the rod. That can also create a whole new set of problems though.

Love seeing nuclear powerplants in TPT. +1. I'd advise you to submerge the fuel rods in the water, as it is more realistc. Also, use ceramic as fuel cladding. It's very heat resistent and should be the last thing to melt. You can also mess with pressure generating radioactive elements to help the uranium.

@Deviljho Thanks for the advice but putting a sign directly over the core blocks the view, which in my opinion is more annoying than having to hover over with your mouse to see the temp.

scoobsnacc: if you don't know how to do this you can just make a sign on a pixel and type {t} in the sign to monitor that spot's temperature.
