Uses ETRD to conduct electricity. Interestingly, filling the tube prevents any plasma from forming, which means the tube doesn't heat too much (although it still heats up a lot). Acts as a "resistor".

The heat you mentioned in the description originates in the TUNG particles. Replace them with PSCN, NSCN, TTAN or similar (not METL, as it heats up too!), and your module stays cool.
