    yeah, this swap gate physically swaps two qubits using mirrors instead of altering them based on their values. this specific gate is slow and can't really be efficiently made into a sqrt(swap) gate (which performs "halfway of a qubit swap"), so this isn't that useful. this could be used for things like temporarily storing a qubit in a different line, i guess...

    This one is a bit more analogue, while the other is more information-based, if that makes any sense.

    I like the idea of a "swap gate." It seems cool, and it pretty much forces me to understand the purpose anything like this could fulfill.
