Produced during WW2, this classic American aircraft was used heavily over Europe in bombing campaigns across France and Germany. Factories, airfields, and bunkers were targeted by these beasts.

    there was a b-17 E called the "All American" that was struck by a german fighter in WWII, despite the tail being almost torn off it flew back to its base and landed safely, you should make that next. +1 for the good design

    Sometimes they were called flying coffins, because their gas tank was not-so heavily protected.
