    Funny how everyone says "how come soviets think 30 engines is a good idea" but they don't say "elon musk starship has too many engines it a bad idea". The N-1 would have used pretty much the best RP-1/LOX engines ever made (NK-33s) on the lower stage (though NK-33s never flew on the N-1 because it got cancelled, NK-15s were used)
