The reason Pluto has been classified as a dwarf planet(and will stay that way) is that it has not yet cleared its orbital path of asteroids, other dwarf planets and planetesimals. If you look at the solar system, both Jupiter and Earth, as well as the other 6 planets, have cleared their orbits of said asteroids, dwarf planets and planetesimals. The defining factors here are that Trojan asteroids and comets are not included within classifications.

Trojans orbit at the Lagrange points of a larger object, and are technically cleared from the body's orbital path(in terms that they don't influence that body), thereby planets with trojans are planets. Comets fly by every once in a while and are impractical and unnecessary to include.

Someone disliked because the IAUs definition for a planet makes Earth and other "Planets" dwarf planets. Wow, great job.
